It’s been more than a while since I’ve posted but I’ve definitely been having some blog withdrawals. I’ve been pretty overwhelmed with school and all, but it’s nice to take a step away from schoolwork and catch up on some blogging, LA explorations, and food runs! These shots were taken at one of my favorite “zen zones.” I do a lot of planning up here, whether it’s planning my week, my next funday, or my life. I’m a sucker for awesome views so feel free to email me some cool zen zones! I’d be more than willing to check them out. Anyways, I hope to be active from now on and post AT LEAST once a week, so stay updated!

Hello all! I hope you have all been enjoying the change in season. I’m much more of a summer person but I’m really starting to enjoy this fall transition. As I was walking around my college campus, I found this neat spot with a plant that couldn’t look any more autumn. Anyways, I’m wearing this kimono blouse that I LOVE. I found it at a thrift store for $4! It definitely falls under my “best thrift finds.” Then I added my usual pair of docs and shorts. I have actually had these shorts for about four years… I just can’t find it in me to part ways with them! Anyways, that’s all I have for now! ‘Tis all and enjoy the fall!

Hey there! I am honestly so happy with life right now, mainly because I got to see four of my favorite bands at the Parks and Devastation tour! The bands there were A Day to Remember, Bring Me the Horizon, Chiodos, and Motionless in White. They put on a heck of a show! Jeremy, the vocalist from A Day to Remember, was rolling over the crowd in a human-sized hamster ball… I know, CRAZY! They performed one of my favorite songs (which I was wearing the shirt of) and so there I was, sitting on someone’s shoulders listening to one of my favorite songs by one of my favorite bands while wearing the matching shirt. The feeling was incredible! Needless to say, it was definitely “a day to remember.”

Now onto the look! I wore my lovely Have Faith in Me band tee with acid washed cutoff shorts and tights. I was debating whether I should cut the shirt or not and decided not to, but I might still do it and feature it in a later look. Anyways, I wore this jacket which is one of my favorites! I throw it on over practically any outfit. I like that it looks more army styled and simple. I thought it went great with the shorts and bracelet. Then, to finish off the look, I wore my usual burgundy docs, which I feel like I can wear anytime I put on my dark red lipstick. I love wearing anything olive green or burgundy, which you’ll probably notice eventually if you haven’t all ready.

That’s all folks! I recommend you check out A Day to Remember. It’s not exactly your typical radio music. It’s a part of the post-hardcore genre so it may not be your thing at first. But who knows, maybe you’ll love them!

These navy blue polka dot shorts are perfection! I planned a look according to them because they are too good to be hiding in my drawers. To be honest, I’m not entirely sure what type of style I was going for today. I simply matched my shorts with a white blouse. Then, to give the outfit more of a classy grunge type of look, I added sheer tights and leather. Incase you haven’t noticed, I am obsessed with my Dr. Martens and black faux leather backpack so I decided to pair the two. It definitely added more of a serious twist. Then of course, I threw on a black fedora because fedoras add a bit of class to almost every outfit.

Something else I would like to share, is my jewelry! I bought a few chokers from Mysticum Luna and I am obsessed! I decided to go for more silver in this look so I wore a black velvet choker with a silver triquetra charm and an arranged silver bracelet set that I got from Material Girl a while back. Like it? Love it? Hate it? Let me know what you think!

Wow guys, college is great! I love the classes, I love the people, and I love the food! I think the most difficult thing about it, is trying not to get too involved! Anyways, this will be my last apology for lack of posting because I now officially have a photographer! Her lovely name is Eileen Choe and I am extremely excited to have more shoots with her! I’m sure after looking at the photos, you probably agree with me.

So another reason why I absolutely love my college, is because of the incredible scenery! These photos were actually taken right next to a hall. I know, wow. Anyways, I went for a more modern vintage look. I think this is such an adorable dress and I decided to wear my favorite acid-washed jacket over it because I really liked the color contrast. Then, I added black of course. I threw on some knee highs and my new oxfords since oxfords add a little class to everything. Then, my favorite part of the outfit: the accessories. I wore an elegant black hat with a bow in the back, my black onyx crystal choker, and a hematite bracelet that I am currently obsessed with. Jewelry has kind of been my thing lately. Most of my favorites can actually be found at Mysticum Luna. They have such unique pieces!

Lastly, I am currently taking a theology class called Scripture as Script, where I am actually supposed to find murals in Los Angeles and analyze them. I’m definitely going to explore and I can’t wait to show you what I find! So until next time, my friends!

Too cool for school? Back to school is probably one of my favorite seasons. I’m so excited to be starting college in a week! I will be attending Loyola Marymount University as a Civil Engineer major (yes, math and science galore). Anyways, I hope to start posting a lot more. I’ve been trying to spend my last week of summer vacation hanging out with friends who are heading east for college.  But worry not! I will still keep posting!

Onto the outfit. I used to love jean skirts! I think the last time I wore a jean skirt was when I was in elementary school. Then, as I was thrifting, I ran into a Dolce & Gabbana skirt that was selling for $5! How could I say no? So I decided to work around the skirt and give it more edge by adding leather and an incredible choker that I got from Mysticum Luna. By the way, if you’re into chokers and mystical jewelry, you should definitely check them out.

Update! I signed up to be a Street Team member for Fearless Records and Rise Records. Sooooo, if you’re interested in music, I will be giving updates about bands from those record labels as well as updates on any of my other favorite bands. You’ll be able to find all of that good stuff under My Music. Enjoy!

Location: Orange County Fair

I apologize again for my lack of consistency in posts. I’ve just been really busy catching up with friends and family lately. Anyways, I went to the Orange County Fair! It was my first time going there and I was surprised by how much there is to do! Farm animals, fried food, freshly grown fruits and veggies, carnival games and rides, live music and performances, art galleries, and just about anything else that defines California.

What did I do? I got a henna tattoo of a lotus flower that I am thinking about getting as an actual tattoo.. So let me know what you think! I also tried fried Oreos and chocolate wrapped bacon. It sounds really gross but it’s actually pretty amazing! Although, I’m sure every bite was slowly contributing to my death.. It amazed me how much fried food there was. Fried ice cream, avocados, coke, even fried bacon wrapped pickles! So yes, the food was great.

One more of my highlights was the art gallery. I posted some of my favorite paintings. Another cool thing about it was that there was a counter full of vintage cameras! I’m talking so old that I couldn’t even figure out where someone is supposed to look through or how to take an actual shot. It was pretty fascinating!

Anyways, if you live in/near Orange County or you decide to visit next summer, you should definitely spend a day at the fair. It’s a perfect place to pig out and have fun!

Featuring: Frank Body Scrub

Long time no post! There is so much I need to fill you all in on! First off, I started using Frank body scrub. Who is Frank? Well, you see, Frank is actually a body scrub that loves to sell himself off as a guy. If you clicked on the link, the first thing that pops up is “Hey, Babe.” That’s Frank hitting on you so you can “Get naked. Get Dirty. Get Rough. Get Clean.” I can’t tell you how excited I was when he finally came! I had heard so many great things about Frank so I decided to give him a try. I came up with three main reasons why I love him:

1. He’s a flirt and I can’t help but fall in love with the way he advertises himself.

2. He smells like coffee.

3. He leaves my skin feeling unbelievably amazing!

Frank gets rid of cellulite, stretch marks, psoriasis, varicose veins, eczema, and acne. I have only used this product three times and WOW. I mainly got it because of my acne and slight cellulite that appears on my stomach, however fans of the product have been posting their progress in eliminating stretch marks, psoriasis, and eczema through the body scrub. Above that, there is absolutely no other product (lotion, scrub, etc.) that has ever left my skin feeling so smooth. Needless to say, I highly recommend purchasing this body scrub!

Which leads me to my outfit. I love Australian bands and one of my favorites at the moment is Hands Like Houses. I saw them in concert about two months ago and I bought this incredible pocket tee there. I even got to meet the band members afterwards and asked them to speak in American accents! I was trying so hard to keep my cool and hold in my inner fangirl. Anyways, I took pictures with them and as I was tagging the vocalist in one of them, I came across a picture of his wife posing with Frank. That’s when I looked into it and found out it’s huge in Australia! By the way, if you do purchase Frank, spread the word by tagging #letsbefrank or #thefrankeffect. Oh and buy the Hands Like Houses albums while your at it!

Tis all! I hope I didn’t bore you… I’ll be spending my last three weeks of summer vacation going to fairs and living it up California style and I can’t wait to share it with you!

I got my hair dyed today! It had been so long since I last dyed my hair and it needed a touch up. I went for Cosmic Red highlights and my hair looks great (especially in the sun)! I went to True Beauty Parlor in Redondo Beach because the workers there are amazing! My usual hair stylist is Sylvia Turcios and she always leaves my hair feeling new and undamaged. Plus, she has mustache cutting drapes! I’m not going to lie, my favorite part is when my scalp is being washed and massaged. I could literally fall asleep. So if you’re looking for a good hair salon, you should definitely check them out!

Anyways, I got so excited that my hair matched my docs and overall my outfit! Then, I threw on a cutoff jean jacket that I found at a thrift store (for $7) and some jewelry and TADA! ‘Twas a good day. Dig the look? Dig the new hair? Let me know and always feel free to comment!

Helloooo. So this acid-washed jean jacket is probably one of my all-time favorites! I’ve had it for two years now and I don’t plan to get rid of it anytime soon. I decided to pair it up with a patterned skirt from Forever 21 and wanted to go for a more slightly girly/slight grunge look so I added sheer tights and black stockings along with my oh-so-comfy docs. I think I’m going to wear tights more often because I just love how they look! Anyways, I went shopping at the mall today and I was actually impressed by how many great deals there were! Usually, whenever I look for clothes, I go to thrift stores since you can find a lot of really nice (sometimes vintage) pieces for no more than $5-10. However lately, I’ve been finding lots of great stuff in regular stores like Forever 21, H&M, and Hot Topic for great prices as well! I bought a couple of bands tees and shorts as shown above. By the way, if you’re into band tees, Hot Topic has a bunch and they almost always have a “Buy 1 Get 1 Half Off” deal. I also noticed that Forever 21 is selling a bunch of cut-off shorts for $10-15 so get on that! I hope to arrange some outfits and post them soon!
